Route 2025: 305 km with 8,630 m+ in three venues

Granada, Jaén and Córdoba will be the 3 venues of this 15th edition.

Cultural and historical heritage, mythical and newly created singletracks, two emblematic regions and a new venue for the 15th anniversary of the competition. These are the highlights of this edition, which will be held from Monday 24th February to Saturday 1st March 2025.

Granada will be the host and the protagonist of the first two stages from Monday 24 February, where on Sunday 23 February the collection numbers will be picked up and the city will be welcomed.

Granada presents two newly created stages with mythical trails of the area and with a common denominator: to make the city of Granada and its surroundings known, combining tradition, culture, folklore, sport and nature. That is why the Nasrid city but also its neighbourhoods, the Albaicín district and the Alhambra -both UNESCO World Heritage Sites- and the Sacromonte path, will be the main highlights of the first two days of the event.

The start will be from the city centre, from the Palacio de Congresos itself. The first stage of 28 kilometres and 902 metres of climbing, will be great fun, dotted with trails, technical descents on varied terrain and spectacular views of the city and the Sierra Nevada. We will climb above the banks of the river Genil, with a spectacular view of the city and the Sierra Nevada, to tackle a fun and technical descent towards the Fuente de la Bicha area. We will go up the Camino de los Neveros, through the mythical ‘Cuesta del Desmayo’, to look for the pass through the town of Monachil. We will also greet the town of Huétor Vega, to enter its fun XCO circuit. From there, we will face the descent looking for the finish line, through a terrain that will put a smile on the faces of all our participants.

In the second stage with 64 kilometres and more than 1,500 metres of climbing, again starting at the Palacio de Congresos, we will ride along one of the most beautiful promenades in the world, the Paseo de los Tristes, with the majestic Alhambra as a witness to the passing of the peloton. We will pass close to the Albaicín, one of the oldest quarters of Granada; we will enter the Sacromonte, the birthplace of flamenco, where we will pass through and we will find the traditional caves where the ‘zambras’ or flamenco dances were and still are celebrated for those who do not know them. We will climb to the top of the Tres Torres and the quarries of Beas de Granada, with its particular lunatic landscape, we will enjoy the mythical descent of the dubbies before reaching the source of the Aguas Blancas River, and from there, we will go up to the paths and trails that will take us above the Quéntar Reservoir. We will pass through the villages of Quéntar and Dúdar, to face the last kilometres through the area of Los Muñoces and the triumphal walk along the path of the Fuente de la Bicha, before reaching the finish line.

From 26th February we will travel to Jaén for the next two stages. Starting from the Cathedral of Jaén, the first day of 66 kilometres and 2,100 metres of climbing will go through El Neveral and Sierra Mágina. From the Jaén Cathedral we will head towards the village of Pegalajar and see the typical Andalusian village of white houses together with the traditional sea of olive trees. From there we will ride through the Natural Park of Sierra Mágina towards the Mojón Blanco to return through Pegalajar on a return to the Olivo Arena full of trails welcoming us to the second venue of the competition.

The fourth stage, also in Jaén, repeats its departure from the same Cathedral with a stage of 40 kilometres with 1,300 metres of climbing and entirely through the Parque Periurbano de El Neveral with a stage full of mountain trails and very vertiginous to finish in Jabalcuz and return again to the Olivo Arena. These stages ensure that you are going to have a great time in an area that many of you already know, but that doesn't mean you won't be surprised. An endless number of trails, with some new additions, that will allow you to finish the stage relatively soon to move to the next stop and on the way to the area of Córdoba.

The last two stages of the Andalucía Bike Race by GARMIN will be in the Córdoba area, with 78 kilometres and 1,746 metres of climbing on the Day of Andalusia and with a long weekend ahead to welcome the event in the capital, which will once again decide the winners of this 15th edition. The fifth stage, the Skoda Super Stage, will pass through Cerro Muriano, Santa María de Trasierra and via the Guadalmellato canal we will climb El Reventón and passing through the mountains and its multitude of trails we will head towards Los Morales, a very common area in Cordoba stages and on the way to the Asomadilla Park where the finish will be.

Stage 6 and the last stage of this edition will once again be a stage against the clock (XCT), just like last year, an XCO type stage through the Santo Domingo Park. A stage of less than 30 kilometres with about 800 metres of climbing with many known trails but changing its order that will keep the intrigue of the winners until the finish line in the Asomadilla Park.

A provisional route, which is always subject to change at the last minute, but which will show 3 provinces with the best trails in each area so that the experience of this edition of Andalucia Bike Race by GARMIN is complete and where participants who do not want to ride the 6 stages can also try the new two-day format in the stages of the Granada Bike Race (stages 1 and 2), the Jaén Bike Race (stages 3 and 4) or the Córdoba Bike Race (stages 5 and 6).

We remind you that registration is still open until the 14th of February, on the official website, www.andaluciabikerace.com.

We are waiting for you!
